Body Mapping for Musicians

  • Play and sing free of tension, pain and injury.

  • Perform with comfort, ease, and joy.

  • Overcome your limitations for enhanced musical expression and technical facility.

Ruth Kasckow knows from her own experience how easy it is for musicians to experience tension, pain and injury. She is passionate about helping musicians learn how to apply Body Mapping to their musical practice and performance.  Find out how you can learn how to play without pain and with enhanced expression..

When I attended a recent workshop that Ruth presented, I was impressed with her clear and succinct manner of communicating the important points of Body Mapping as it related to flute playing. She was very organized and worked with the students in a kind and informative way.
— Susan Greenberg, flutist

“I have had the pleasure of working with Ruth Kasckow in different capacities within the Association for Body Mapping Education as well as her instruction of the Franklin Method. The body of knowledge she has accumulated and pulls from in her teaching is truly remarkable. She provides a learning environment that is sensitive to students’ emotional and physical health while providing invaluable information that aids in our embodiment of the material. This embodiment creates more physical and emotional freedom so we can find our truest potential in our creative field and daily lives.” Jackie McIlwain, DMA, clarinet

Flute Instruction

  • Flute lessons for all ages and levels

  • Specializing in individualized, customized lessons to fit the needs and wants of the student

  • Many opportunities for students to progress through recitals, workshops, MTAC Certificate of Merit, competitions and outside opportunities

Ruth Kasckow knows that students are best served by a professional, skilled and sensitive teacher. Ruth has been teaching for over 30 years in her private at home studio and at other music schools. She attends to each student as an individual and designs the best curriculum for their success.

As a student, I find that Ruth “gets me”. She knows how to motivate and inspire me, and respects my learning style. She challenges me to be the best musician I can be while still respecting my busy schedule. My lesson with her each week is something I always look forward to.
— Leah-student

Ms. Kasckow works incredibly hard to find the right teaching technique for each individual student to thrive. She is flexible to fit each student’s style of learning and manages to make it fun at the same time. Rachael S., student
